I went into this on opening night with high expectations, unfortunately they were quickly dashed. I thought this version of the future looked awful compared to the future seen in the previous films, also somehow Skynet had managed to create all sorts of machines far superior to the ones it supposedly uses in the future. The main plot thread of the film doesnt work, seeing a s John is certainly no the enigmatic leader of the resistance on this film, and Kyle really is a nobody, yet somehow Skynet has watched the first 3 films and already knows about John Connor. Also if Kyle was so important, why when they get him do they do absolutely nothing to him? Why was Skynet defended by 1 Termintor? There was just too many problems for it to be a decent film, and certaionly not worthy of the Terminator moniker. I'd rather have another series of TSSC (which by the way they ended it would have gone really wrong) than anothr entry in this supposed new trilogy, in fact all the little nods to the previous films annoyed me, especially as this is supposed to be a new Terminator, why did we need constant reminders of films in a completely different league to this.
