A week filled with chaos, ends on an extremely high note.

Starting off the week with a sick day, with several big projects at work is not a good thing. Follow that up with a couple half days for Dr’s appointments, and the chaos just piles up. In the end, it was all worth it, for the two hours of fun that Delaney and I spent, at our first Daddy Daughter dance for girl scouts. Dancing for a solid two hours, Delaney and I had a blast, and can’t wait for next year!

Add to the mix, a whole heck of a lot of walking over the course of two days, I’m one pooped Fatman. Friday, despite the chaos saw three miles in the morning, and another mile and a half in the afternoon, along with a trip to the park. Saturday, brought along a new route for my adventures, and a whopping seven miles in total for the day. Well worn, and surprisingly feeling good, I’m ready for more tomorrow.

After a hard pressed week, and constant emails and phone calls at the desk, the walking becomes even more essential. With the sanity of getting healthy once again, the opportunity to clear one’s head and tune out for an hour two, becomes a much needed tonic. Throw in a nap, and we’re good to go.

I’d love to wax on poetic and all, but frankly, I’m tired! With a seven mile day, and a couple hours dancing with an energetic five year old, and well, you’d be tired too!

When the going gets tough, take a walk. It works for me.
